The need for bringing the GPs in private practice under responsible and effective 'public' control has become more and more relevant.
The inevitable collisions and polar opposite approaches of therapeutic science and it’s rapid advances against the reactionary archaic approaches of the medical council, health service executive and regulatory bodies has become more noticable and questionable. The whole system needs reform and the best way is to integrate GPs into the Public Health Service whereby they are paid a salary without added incentives from drug companies. This will encourage GPs to do their work with a more patient centered approach without external influences by monetary incentives and the like. Can you imagine a health care system owned by the state, GPs paid by the state and measured in terms of health performance statistics in their local community? We could actually compare and measure doctor's on their performance for keeping us healthy rather than keeping us medicated. Can you imagine the savings doctor's would make for the public health system by keeping their communities healthy? Can you imagine doctors encouraging their community to exercise, eat organic, to get counselling or get acupuncture? We can only imagine how our community would feel and respect our health care practitioners again…

I simply want to live an expressive, connected, and fulfilling life.
Like many of us, I’ve felt the quiet drift away from something deeper… a disconnection from nature, from ourselves, and from the sense of belonging that comes from true community. But I don’t see that as something lost forever. I see it as something waiting to be remembered. This space is where I share reflections, insights, and lived experiences around relationships, health, and wellbeing… not as fixed truths, but as invitations. Invitations to reconnect with what feels real, to listen more closely to ourselves, and to rediscover the rhythms that support both personal and collective health. I believe that when we begin to express ourselves more honestly and live more in tune with our inner world, something powerful happens. Our relationships deepen, our wellbeing shifts, and our connection to the wider ecosystem begins to restore itself in a natural, grounded way. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about returning… gently, curiously, and together. Archives
