We can never be wholly who we are if we define ourselves in terms of sociocultural standards. We need to embark on the journey of self-discovery.
How much do you define yourself by how you look? Do you try to resist the natural aging process? How can I accept myself? Can I use this as an opportunity for change? If we arrive at a level of self-acceptance, we will be able to be with ourselves with compassion? Where we are in life is ok? Who we are is just fine.
This doesn't mean that we should not seek growth and healing in our lives rather we become familiar with our inner worlds to honestly and courageously admit what we really hold as our truths and guiding beliefs.
